Ballet: In these classes, students are taught the basics of dance through a traditional ballet barre, center floor, traveling exercises and combinations
Jazz: From beginning to advance levels, the dancer will learn how to stretch and strengthen the muscles by an extensive warm-up; turn, kick, and leap across the floor combinations; and different styles and techniques through a center floor combination
Tap: These classes will help the dancer learn how to use their feet as the instrument; classes include a warm-up, across the floor and center combinations
Dance for the Stage: This class is designed to introduce the dancer to different musical theatre styles; dancers will learn original works of Broadway choreographers, the basics of auditioning for the theatre, and how to choreograph their own dance. There are 3 levels for this class.
*Ballet is required for the level 3 class
Hip Hop/Breakdancing: Students will learn the latest moves found on MTV in these classes. Classes include a warm-up and a fast-paced routine.
Tumbling for the Stage: Students will graduate from basic tumbling (cartwheels, forward rolls, etc.) to more advanced tricks (back handspring, walk-over, ariel, etc.) in this class.
Streamline Your Body: Designed to get you in shape, this class offers a variety of workouts; circuit training, kickboxing, strengthening and stretching, weight training, abdominals and more. Students will benefit from increased flexibility, strength, alignment, balance, and strong posture. |

It is the mission of Centre Stage Dance Academy to provide professional level dance instruction to students of all ages promoting within them, a greater sense of excitement for the art of dance and a more powerful appreciation for the performing arts in general. It is our belief that through dance, students will develop a greater understanding of self and culture and a more powerful sense of physical awareness benefiting them not only on the stage, but in life.
